Applied Systems today announced a partnership with Relay, Ireland’s largest insurance intermediary software provider, to support Relay’s business expansion plans. Through this partnership, Applied Systems will provide the connectivity, data exchange and policy binding between Relay’s broker and insurer partners and their clients.

“As we continue to evaluate the strategic direction of our company, expanding our range of services in the local market here within Northern Ireland is a natural fit for us,” said David McKnight, Business Development Director of Relay. “By leveraging Applied Rating and Fulfillment Services, we will be able to more quickly respond to market changes and drive multichannel distribution of our partners’ products, enabling our partners in turn to provide the choice of products and level of service their clients demand.”

Applied Rating and Fulfilment Services delivers a leading connectivity and data exchange platform to the UK insurance industry, enabling insurers to quickly and effectively distribute their personal and commercial lines products. Applied Rating and Fulfilment Services connects insurers to a broker’s back-office system, automating the rating and policy fulfilment process for both insurers and brokers. Applied Rating and Fulfilment Services provides insurers flexibility to manage their rates and respond to market shifts – whether in real-time through Applied’s rating solution, an industry e-trading Standard, or their own rating services. Applied Rating and Fulfilment Services also connects seamlessly to numerous third party data providers, to provide insurers with real-time, up-to-date, clean data, allowing for more accurate risk analysis, reduction in potential fraudulent policies and more competitive products and premiums.

“The pace of change in the global insurance industry continues to require brokers to leverage technology to automate data exchange between key constituents and streamline business operations,” said Jeff Purdy, senior vice president of International Operations, Applied Systems. “This partnership furthers Applied’s commitment to increasing connectivity and data exchange between brokers, insurers, and the insured worldwide, and we are keen to support Relay in this venture to expand their distribution channels to drive future growth and profitability.”
