Midwest Engine (MWE), a division of Illinois Auto Electric and subsidiary of Briggs and Stratton, raised nearly $12,000 for Hope For The Warriors® through the Pre-Season Program campaign that began in October 2014. MWE announced the partnership with Hope For The Warriors® as an effort to raise funds and awareness for wounded service members and military families. Hope For The Warriors® is a national nonprofit dedicated to restoring a sense of self, restoring the family unit, and restoring hope for our service members and our military families.

From October 2014 through February 2015, a donation was made to Hope For The Warriors® for every $100 of Briggs & Stratton® products purchased through MWE’s Pre-Season Program. The donation goal was $10,000, which was exceeded by the end of the promotion.

“MWE is pleased to, once again, be able to make a generous donation to Hope For The Warriors®," said Mike McCaleb, Executive Director of MWE. “They have proved a worthy charity and MWE is proud to support their cause for the second year in a row.”

MWE will be presenting Hope For The Warriors® with a donation at the Illinois Auto Electric Building (700 Enterprise Street) in Aurora, Illinois on Friday, May 1. Matt Baffoe, Hope For The Warriors® Career Transition & Education Programs Manager, will attend the presentation at 1:00 p.m.

“Hope For The Warriors is humbled by MWE’s donation to support our military families nationwide,” Robin Kelleher, Hope For The Warriors® President, said. “Their commitment to honor our service members reflects their dedication to improving the lives of military families and we are very grateful for their involvement again this year.”

The funds raised from the MWE Pre-Season Program will provide a full-cycle of care for service members and their families through programs within Clinical Health & Wellness, Career Transition & Education, Sports & Recreation, and Community & Military Relations.
