Gentle Giant Moving Company Partners with the American Cancer Society to Deliver a “Taste of Hope” to New York City
New York, New York (PRWEB) April 30, 2015 -- The Taste of Hope is the American Cancer Society’s signature culinary, wine and spirits tasting, featuring more than 50 of New York City’s most acclaimed chef’s and mixologists. To help set up this massive fundraising event, New York City moving company Gentle Giant has donated equipment, trucks, and manpower to help load materials from the ACS’s Manhattan Headquarters to the event, which will be hosted at the gorgeous Metropolitan West on Thursday April 30th. The ACS is expecting 500-700 guests at the event, which will include VIP tables, silent & live auction, and the best food New York has to offer.
Hosted by the American Cancer Society, all proceeds from Taste of Hope go toward the society’s mission of eliminating cancer as a major health problem by helping people stay well, get well, find cures, and fight back. This year the society celebrates the 10th anniversary of the wildly popular Taste of Hope. Taste of Hope will help the society finish the fight in the war on cancer. Because of the important work of the ACS, Americans are celebrating more birthdays this year than ever before.
Gentle Giant New York’s manager Josh Charry has been very active in establishing and curating this very important partnership. “Gentle Giant is so proud to be able to contribute to the American Cancer Society’s incredible mission,” Charry explains. “We are greatly looking forward to not only helping with the set up, but attending the event and sampling all of the delicious food that will be there!”
Gentle Giant Moving Company has been a proud partner to the American Cancer Society for several years, helping with their benchmark Making Strides Against Breast Cancer Walks in Manhattan and Brooklyn. The Giants across the country have been inspired by the work the ACS has done, and felt compelled to get involved, donating what they do best, hauling heavy boxes and other items throughout New York City. This will be the second year Gentle Giant is a promotional sponsor of the Taste of Hope.
