Set.fm announces the availability of live concert recordings from the Sweetwater 420 Music Festival, held in Atlanta, GA this last weekend. More than half of the festival’s 42 performances are available via Set.fm including recorded sets from renowned artists such as Gov’t Mule, The Revivalists, MarchFourth Marching Band and The London Souls; as well as comedians Ben Palmer and Joe Pettis and more.

Launched in September 2013, Austin-based Set.fm is an online platform and application suite that makes it easy it easy to capture, share and sell high quality audio recordings of any live performance in real-time; enabling musicians and all types of other performers to amplify their social reach and turn on incremental revenue streams.

The Set.fm Studio app (Mac, Windows, iOS), with plug-ins for all of the major Digital Audio Workstation programs (e.g. ProTools, Logic, Cubase etc), records live audio and uploads it for sale in real-time, as it’s being performed for fans to enjoy immediately, or later on-demand. Using the Set.fm consumer app (iOS, Android), audience members can socially share a portion of what they're listening to and purchase a copy of the performance before they even leave the venue.

The company’s presence at Sweetwater 420 marks its first foray into the ever-growing festival market and, as a result, introduced the festival’s 40,000+ attendees to a new way to take the weekend’s concert experience home with them to enjoy over and over.

Stellar performances from stalwarts Gov’t Mule, The Revivalists, MarchFourth Marching Band, The London Souls, up-and-comers Red Wanting Blue as well as comedians like Ben Palmer and Joe Pettis are available for purchase directly through the Set.fm app or via the Set.fm website.

“We’re really excited about all the creative people who worked with Set.fm to give festival goers an opportunity to relive the weekend’s performances,” says Matt Peterson, CEO of Set.fm. “Our team on the ground in Atlanta brought the Set.fm experience to thousands of fans who were really into the idea. The musicians and comedians we worked with were even more excited for the opportunity to get their live performances directly in their fan’s hands right after the event.”

While fans are enjoying the app and music, the performers are even more enthusiastic about the opportunity to get their sets to listeners; even those who weren’t at the show.

“Set.fm is a great solution for bands who stake their reputation on their live show. Giving Red Wanting Blue fans the opportunity to purchase the set immediately after the band left the stage made working with Set.fm a no brainer," points out Josh Bloom, co-manager Red Wanting Blue.
