The Network, Inc., a leading provider of governance, risk and compliance (GRC) solutions, announced today that the company has expanded operations and opened a new office in Portland, Oregon.

“Last year was a record-breaking year for The Network,” said CEO Luis Ramos. “Demand for our solutions continues to increase as companies understand the importance of promoting their values, maintaining ethical “speak-up” cultures and engaging their employees with ethics and compliance training and awareness programs. Portland is a strategic market that allows us to better serve the needs of our West Coast customers and provides access to a large pool of talent to support our expansion.”

Tim Faherty, Vice President of Sales, will lead the Portland office and the company’s West Coast operations. “I’m excited to lead our growing presence in the West,” said Faherty, “Having a physical office in Portland allows us to be closer to the increasing number of customers we have in the West Coast area.”

"The Network's selection of Portland as the destination for its West Coast headquarters underscores why leading technology companies view our city as a strategic center to build great engineering, support, and sales teams, as well as access West Coast and Asian markets." said Skip Newberry, President, Technology Association of Oregon. "The Network's team is a welcome addition to the local community."

The Network’s ethics and compliance training and awareness solutions engage employees through interactive scenarios and quizzes, and utilize some of the most current gamification techniques available. “The greater Portland area is known for having a large pool of technology talent with specific skills in gamification and engineering, that we look forward to leveraging,” Faherty continued. “We have already hired 15 people and expect to add at least another 10+ jobs in the area within the year.”

“Portland residents expect the best ethical practices of their elected officials and public servants,” said Charlie Hales, Mayor of Portland. “I think The Network, a leading ethics and compliance software and solutions company, will thrive in a city that cares about values and transparency. The company is a great addition to our technology community.”
