FMTC, an affiliate marketing datafeed and content tool provider, announced the release of a new technology platform called “FMTC2Go." This platform provides users with a fully-customizable website to publish monetized deals, offers and other content available through the company's affiliate datafeed.
Typically, FMTC's clients access the datafeed through an API. They download the content into their own databases and process and display it using custom integration scripts written and supported by their own (or contracted) engineers.
"Engineering and integration have always been the biggest hurdles for companies wanting to use FMTC's feed to power their shopping portal. FMTC2Go eliminates those hurdles entirely," said Karen Hoxmeier, the company’s COO. "Since the website is set up by FMTC's own staff of engineers, clients can rest assured that their shopping portal will be set up correctly and efficiently."
With FMTC2Go, clients are able to skip the engineers and focus solely on the content. The platform is integrated with their FMTC account to automatically pull in links from the affiliate networks and merchants they've partnered with. They're able to customize the site with their logo, color choices, unique content, featured categories and more.
The platform is hosted on FMTC's servers and is supported by the company's engineering staff. Bug fixes, technology versioning, database maintenance and other technology-related work is completed by FMTC.
CTO Eric Nagel added, “We're not stopping anyone from doing their own integration; but since we know our data inside-out, we can do it better, faster, and cheaper. We handle all of the technical work, so there's no need for our clients to worry about security patches, server upgrades, or API changes. We'll create a deal site that's customized for the client and all they have to do is link to it and promote the deals.”
