“We’re excited to be working with SHIFT to bring EOS to healthcare,” says Ed Rubinstein, Director, Environmental Compliance, Energy, and Sustainability at UHN. “The potential energy savings are huge.”

SHIFT Energy, a world-leading innovator in automated building energy management, has announced today it will be showcasing its proven energy-saving software, EOS™ with Intelligent Live Recommisisoning technology at CleanMed 2015. CleanMed is the premier U.S. environmental conference for leaders in healthcare sustainability and innovation for green healthcare.

SHIFT and its strategic partner, EllisDon, are currently working with Toronto’s University Health Network (UHN) to deploy Intelligent Live Recommissioning technology.
“We’re excited to be working with SHIFT to bring EOS to healthcare,” says Ed Rubinstein, Director, Environmental Compliance, Energy, and Sustainability at UHN. “The potential energy savings are huge.”

“Our EOS software will do for healthcare facilities what it’s proven to do in a live-event facility environment – significantly reduce energy costs while maintaining occupant comfort, extending existing equipment life, and right-sizing capital spending,” says Brock Sansom, President and CEO of SHIFT Energy. “Our goal is to work with forward-thinking sustainability leaders in the healthcare market and together create results-driven, meaningful change.”

The EOS solution has already been successfully deployed in major events facilities like Vancouver’s Rogers Arena where it generated a cost reduction in annual energy spending of over 20%, and significant reductions in Greenhouse gas emissions.

Andrea Curry, SHIFT Energy’s VP of Product Management, will be presenting the UNH case study entitled Energy Efficiency Using Your Existing Infrastructure: A UHN Case Study on May 14. SHIFT’s Director of U.S. Sales Lance Daily, and Daryl Letto, Director of Client Solution Engineering, will be demonstrating EOS and presenting Automated, Persistent Energy Savings in Healthcare Facilities with EOS on the same day during exhibit hours.
The three-day conference takes place from May 12-14 at the Oregon Convention Center in Portland, Oregon. SHIFT Energy can be found on the CleanMed show floor at Booth #100. Visit for free gifts and a chance to win an iPad mini.

About EOS
Energy Optimization System (EOS™) eliminates energy waste from building operations by applying a concept called Intelligent Live Recommissioning – the automation of continuous commissioning. By applying patent-pending smart algorithms, cloud computing and Internet of Things technologies, EOS optimizes a building’s existing controls environment every minute of the day for efficient energy usage without sacrificing occupant comfort, compliance or equipment. EOS saves 50¢ to 80¢ each minute on average for each building, resulting in typical annual portfolio energy savings of 20% to 35%.
