Patient Experience Institute Opens Registration for First Certified Patient Experience Professional Certification Exam
Nashville, TN (PRWEB) April 29, 2015 -- Patient Experience Institute (PXI) announces registration is now open for the first Certified Patient Experience Professional Certification (CPXP) exam to be held in December 2015. CPXP certification will provide a formal designation for those individuals committed to leading patient experience efforts in healthcare organizations globally.
By definition, a CPXP is a formal or informal leader who influences the systems, processes, and behaviors that cultivate consistently positive experiences as defined by the patient, resident, and family in settings across the continuum of care. Certification is intended for healthcare professionals or other individuals with a commitment and interest in patient experience improvement and professional experience in a patient experience related role or experience in engaging in patient experience efforts from various perspectives, be they as a healthcare professional, consultant or patient and family member committed to experience excellence.
Certification development followed a rigorous and standardized process, engaging the voices of hundreds of members of the patient experience community of The Beryl Institute, PXI’s sister organization. The process adheres to the Standards for Education and Psychological Testing (AERA, APA, & NCME, 2014) and Standards for the Accreditation of Certification Programs (NCCA, 2014).
“The remaining cornerstone in framing the field of patient experience has been the identification and development of certified professionals,” said Jason Wolf, President of Patient Experience Institute. “The CPXP designation demonstrates clear and validated qualifications to the industry and highlights an individual’s commitment to leadership in the profession. It too reaffirms that a focus on patient experience must be a central part of our work in healthcare globally to ensure the best outcomes for all.”
As the movement grows, PXI invites individuals from the patient experience community to join the over 100 voices already taking a stand in acknowledging the value of having certified professionals and what they bring to the overall healthcare conversation.
