We are extremely proud and honored to have received a prestigious Queen’s Award for Enterprise in Innovation.
Blythewood, South Carolina (PRWEB) May 01, 2015
Spirax Sarco, the leader in product solutions and steam system services, is extremely proud to announce that for the first time in the company’s history they have been named as a winner of a Queen’s Award for Innovation – the UK’s highest accolade for business success for the design and manufacture of a unique flowmeter.
The Spirax Sarco TVA flowmeter is the revolutionary alternative to traditional steam flow measurement. The device provides reliable, accurate and cost-effective steam metering, combined with quick and easy installation, in many environments and across a range of industries worldwide, including food and beverage manufacturing, healthcare organizations, university campuses and petrochemical plants. The flowmeter uses variable area technology and incorporates a proprietary sensor and unique mathematical algorithms. One of the benefits of this design is its ability to measure a wide range of flow rates. With this knowledge, steam users can improve energy efficiency, reduce carbon emissions and cut costs.
Our award winning TVA flowmeter has been designed, developed and tested in Cheltenham at our world-class technology center and steam lab. The product range offers a variety of line sizes, superheat capability and self-powered and wireless communications options to enable us to support our customers in a variety of industries and applications.
Nick Anderson, Chief Executive, commenting on the award said, “We are extremely proud and honored to have received a prestigious Queen’s Award for Enterprise in Innovation. This award recognizes the achievement of our R&D team and Spirax Sarco’s commitment to innovation, technical development and manufacturing excellence, and to providing our customers with exceptional products that help them to improve the efficiency of their steam system.”
Simon Sprackling, Research and Development Manager in Cheltenham said, “This award recognizes the knowledge and capability of the design and development team involved with this innovative development but also the experience of the wider Spirax family from manufacturing and sales who have helped to deliver a commercial success.”
The Queen’s Award for Enterprise are the UK’s most prestigious award for business performance, which recognize and reward outstanding achievement by UK companies.
