Cornerstone Care Centers to Provide Quality Sober Living Environments to Recovering Addicts and Alcoholics
Irvine, California (PRWEB) May 05, 2015 -- Two seasoned veterans of the real estate and addiction treatment industries have partnered to form a network of sober living environments. The sober living environments, called Cornerstone Care Centers, are set to launch nationwide, with residences scheduled to open in several US cities in 2015.
Cornerstone Care Centers (CCC) co-founders, John Itzel and Greg Muth, were inspired to create CCC after recognizing the need for quality sober living homes in many communities across the U.S. and the world.
“While there is no shortage of sober living homes in the US,” commented Greg Muth, Cornerstone Care Center’s co-founder and C.E.O, “There is a definite shortage of high-quality sober living homes. Mr. Itzel and I hope to change this by meeting the demand for safe, clean and substance-free communities for the recovering addicts who so desperately need them.”
Sober living environments (SLEs), also known as halfway houses, have existed in the U.S. since the 1960s. Highly regarded by those in the addiction treatment industry, sober living homes have been successful in part due to their ability to provide individuals in recovery with the supportive community they need in order remain on the path to long-term sobriety. Oftentimes a recovering addict is at his or her most vulnerable in the weeks and months following successful completion of a drug and alcohol rehabilitation program. When communities lack quality SLEs, recovering addicts are forced to return to the very stressful and unstable environments that encouraged them to drink or use in the first place. Cornerstone Care Centers hopes to act as a bridge between treatment programs and the community, providing the newly sober with a safe and stable place to live while they work towards becoming healthy and productive members of society.
Cornerstone Care Centers is currently working in conjunction with Cornerstone Care Centers Development to purchase and refurbish properties in several select US cities. CCC’s planned locations for 2015 include California, Indiana and Washington State. Visit http://cornerstonecarecenters.com/recovery/sober-living/ for details.
