Ad Agency Founder named to Legacy Miami Magazine’s 50 Most Powerful & Influential Black Professionals in Business and Industry List
Miami, FL (PRWEB) May 02, 2015 -- Jessica Garrett Modkins, Marketing & Advertisement Agency Founder of hip rock star and Executive Director of The Historic Society, has been selected by Legacy Miami Magazine as one of “South Florida’s 50 Most Powerful and Influential Black Professionals in Business and Industry” for 2015. For over two-decades Jessica Garrett Modkins has influenced, developed, and built brands such as Pepsi-Cola, Diageo, Lawry’s Seasoned Salt, the Trayvon Martin Foundation, Verizon Wireless, and the SBC Community Development Corporation.
She serves as the Executive Director for the Historic Society; her philanthropic dedication has led to an on-going partnership with the Greater Miami Convention & Visitors Bureau. She co-authored the book Images of America: Miami’s Richmond Heights which was read into the United States Congressional Record and her commitment to community service has led to her being a nominee for a 2015 African American Achiever Award.
She has penned speeches for the Mayor of the City of Atlanta, delivered the morning news for WEDR 99 Jamz, and oversaw Arrow Records/Universal Records to chart four albums in Billboard Magazine. She has spoken at Florida International University, Miami Dade College, and the University of Miami. She is a founding board member for the Miami HBCU Alumni Alliance. She holds a Master of Science degree in Integrated Marketing Communications from West Virginia University and a Bachelor of Arts degree from North Carolina A&T S.U. in Broadcast News.
