Since becoming licensed in 2008, Mr. Whalen has amassed an impressive résumé as an accomplished injury attorney and community advocate representing patients and consumers in Colorado. He has been recognized as a Colorado Super Lawyer Rising Star, Denver Business Journal Forty Under 40, National Trial Lawyers Top 100, and was named by 5280 Magazine as a Top Young Attorney in Colorado. In 2012, Mr. Whalen was awarded the American Constitution Society's Progressive Young Leadership Award. In 2014, he became a Lifetime Member of the Million Dollar Advocates Forum.
Reeves previously sat on the Executive Committee for the Democratic Party of Denver. He has held leadership positions through appointment by Denver Mayor Hancock and Superintendent Tom Boasberg, and he currently serves on the Board of Directors for the Colorado Trial Lawyers Association. Mr. Whalen is a Young Philanthropist and Ambassador with the Clinton Foundation who has been recognized for his volunteer work in Haiti and at the Pine Ridge Indian Reservation in South Dakota. He is a graduate of Dickinson College, The University of Denver Law School, and Harvard University's Kennedy School of Government.
