Mermet USA, the market leader in high-performance Sun Control Textiles™, announced today its GreenScreen® Evolve™ designer shade fabric won the 2015 Architizer A+ Popular Choice Award in the Materials – Textiles product category.

“It is an honor to be recognized as a 2015 A+ Award winner. We developed GreenScreen Evolve to meet specific needs of the architecture and design community, and for the fabric to be selected by the people we designed it for, as well as other industry and business leaders, we know we have been successful in this endeavor,” said Jules Duguay, General Manager, Mermet USA. “We would like to thank everyone who voted for GreenScreen Evolve and who has supported Mermet’s continued commitment to sustainability, aesthetics and product performance.”

GreenScreen Evolve is an advanced solar shade fabric designed to enhance the beneficial qualities of sustainability, color and solar performance. Its balanced knit construction controls glare while serving as a natural daylighting source with clean outward visibility. Offered for both manual and automated window shading systems, GreenScreen Evolve was developed with global architecture and design leaders to provide a rich, modern color palette in nine beautiful styles. The fabrics are fire retardant (NFPA 701, CSFM Title 19), Cradle to Cradle Certified - Silver™, GREENGUARD Gold certified and RoHS compliant.

In 2013, Architizer, the world's largest and fastest growing website for architecture, launched its annual award program with more than 90 categories and a global jury of more than 300 architects, thought leaders and developers from companies including Google, Pinterest, and Kickstarter. Entries were submitted from 100 countries representing the best of architecture and design worldwide, and public votes were received from Architizer’s community of more than one million users and fans.
