Hybrid hosting empowers businesses with the ability to weigh the importance of scalability, security and cost, to choose the appropriate technology to meet their IT needs.

OnRamp, a leading high security and hybrid hosting provider with data center facilities in Texas and North Carolina, announced today the publication of a new customer case study featuring Compass Learning. The case study details the challenges Compass Learning faced in maintaining an IT environment that would support their customized software solutions and would scale as their business prospered.

Compass Learning, a provider of personalized education technology solutions for grades K-12, helps students achieve success through differentiated instruction, formative assessment and response to intervention, holds data gathering and analytics at the company's core. However, as Compass Learning’s user base grew, so did the demands on their IT infrastructure. Requiring far greater bandwidth allocation than their colocation provider could accommodate and with anticipated changes to their infrastructure to support their technology, Compass Learning turned to OnRamp. OnRamp was able to integrate private cloud and cloud delivered services with Compass Learning's existing colocation environment, to provide a hybrid hosting solution.

“The technical expertise and capabilities of OnRamp’s engineers played perfectly to the strengths of my team,” stated Compass Learning’s Director of IT Joe Hayden. “Where my team was limited in experience with load balancing and high-speed data storage, OnRamp excelled. Through their guidance, they were able to help us build a fully redundant, dedicated environment to maintain our customer-facing servers – which are the lifeblood of our organization.”

"Hybrid hosting empowers businesses with the ability to weigh the importance of scalability, security and cost, to choose the appropriate technology to meet their IT needs," stated OnRamp Founder Chad Kissinger. "The ability to build upon a business' legacy IT equipment alleviates the requirement of being bound by prior IT decisions and opens the doors to an enhanced computing environment capable of supporting a business’ data center mission."
