SPS expands to the Americas to support smart card market growth

Thanks to the decision made to change all banking cards in the US from magnetic stripe to EMV smart cards, a huge demand for dual interface cards is to take place, and be sustained over the next years. SPS expertise and extensive track records in multiple geographies with its eBoost PAY® for dual interface cards puts the company in an ideal position to deliver its high-quality high-reliability dual interface products to the North American banking card manufacturers.
The creation of SPS own organization in the Americas will allow the company to bring the best support to its customers for the EMV migration, especially for dual interface card solutions, where SPS has extensive track records. In his new position, Benoit Guez, VP Americas, will manage direct and indirect sales, as well as marketing and support. He will especially support SPS partners, such as BSmart based in Brazil, to implement and qualify SPS dual interface technology. He will also bring the company weight and expertise to identity projects in North and Latin America.
Before joining SPS, Benoit Guez, an international sales & marketing executive with 30 years’ experience in multi-cultural environments, spent 16 years with CPI Card Group, a major card manufacturer in America, where he developed the smart card activities. Previously, he held managerial positions with Oberthur, Sicpa and Arjomari.
