During the informative session, Deepa Balani, Manager, SAP CoE, Manish Garg, Director, SAP CoE at Big Lots and Dr. Werner Hopf, CEO and Archiving Principal at Dolphin, will discuss how Big Lots meets the demands of intensive sales audit requests with a simple, one-step process that matches sales receipts to financial transactions in the SAP ERP Financials solution. This presentation will detail how leveraging SAP POS Data Management application and nearline storage options helps to ensure the vast amount of highly varied retail transaction data created across the company is easily accessible, improving audit response time and increasing productivity. It will take place on Wednesday, May 6, at 4:15 p.m. Room S319.
At a second informative session, a company in the beverage industry will discuss how the organization’s data volume management strategy, which incorporates data archiving and nearline storage, is enabling it to align diverse global IT infrastructure with corporate goals for growth, consolidation and modernization. Participants will learn how this strategy continues to deliver benefits for Big Data with faster performance, easier system migrations and improved transparency. This session will take place Tuesday, May 5, at 12:30 p.m. Room S331C.
