Billy Joel Tickets at Nassau Coliseum in Uniondale (Long Island): Ticket Down Slashes Billy Joel Ticket Prices in Uniondale at the Nassau Coliseum on August 4th
Long Island, New York (PRWEB) May 01, 2015 -- Ticket Down is a reputable source of authentic tickets for Billy Joel at the Nassau Coliseum on Tuesday, August 4th. This will be the last show at the Nassau Coliseum before this legendary venue undergoes extensive renovations.
The Piano Man is set to bring his popular music to the city of Uniondale, Long Island for what will be the final show at the Nassau Veterans Memorial Coliseum before closing its doors for massive remodeling. This will be the first time the Long Island native has played the venue since 1998 and in total has played there 31 times previously. The show will be held on August 4th and will give Joel another break from his once-a-month residency at the World’s Most Famous Arena, Madison Square Garden.
Joel is one of the most beloved individuals in all of music. He has been inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, Songwriters Hall of Fame, and the Long Island Music Hall of Fame and over the course of his five decade long career has released 13 studio albums, 5 live albums, and 15 compilation albums. Those albums have sold more than 150 million records throughout the world, which puts him near the top of the all-time list. He has released dozens of singles throughout his career and 33 have reached the top 40 in the United States and in something that is a rare feat in today’s music, he wrote all those singles himself.
Throughout his career, Joel has released music that has made his fans scream with each music video, radio single, and live performance. He is known as a performer that always does a little more to ensure his fans leave his shows with a massive smile on their face. When he takes the stage in Uniondale, his fans will hope to hear him perform some of his greatest hits including “Piano Man,” “My Life,” “It’s Still Rock and Roll to Me,” “Uptown Girl,” “An Innocent Man,” “We Didn’t Start the Fire,” and “The River of Dreams.”
The Nassau Veterans Memorial Coliseum originally opened its doors in 1972 and has undergone several transformations in the past, but none like that it will go through later this year following Joel’s show on August 4th. The venue was home of the New York Islanders from the National Hockey League from 1972 until this past season, but with the Isles moving to the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, NY beginning next season, venue operators decided to make change the venue into a more comfortable sports and entertainment venue.
