"SleepControl” was featured on NewsWatch as part of its monthly AppWatch, which takes a look at the latest and coolest applications on the market for iOS, Android, and Windows. Joe Toohey, the host of AppWatch and technology expert, conducted the app review and shared with viewers how this utility app is easiest way to set an alarm on an iPhone.
There isn’t a lot of people that actually like hearing their alarm in the morning. Who really wants to hear that dreaded “time to get up” command? And to add insult to injury, most phone alarm apps aren't really the easiest to use. Well, a company in Germany designed an application to help people wake up a little easier.
The free iPhone and iPod app is called SleepControl and it’s designed to make setting an alarm as easy as possible. It’s so easy that is takes an average of 3 seconds to set an alarm, making it the fastest alarm app out there. Now, users can customize the app by changing the color or integrating their iTunes music. And with its professional battery management function, the app will trickle charge the user’s phone overnight while it's plugged in, allowing devices to charge slowly to improve battery life. And if the user is having trouble saving battery life, the app offers advice on how to preserve it. SleepControl also monitors the device's power usage and calculates remaining battery and charge time. If the current battery level is not sufficient for the active alarm, SleepControl will initiate the battery emergency alarm or put the iPhone in a power saving mode to schedule a background alarm.
