Windsor Marketing Group celebrates expansion with groundbreaking ceremony
HARTFORD, CT (PRWEB) May 04, 2015 -- Windsor Marketing Group (WMG) celebrated the expansion of its Suffield, CT operations with a groundbreaking ceremony that was held on Thursday, April 30.
The event took place on site at 100 Marketing Way, Suffield, CT. 06078.
Windsor Marketing Group is an innovative in-store marketing group that creates, produces, and delivers shopper marketing programs that inspire and influence in-store buying patterns. The company was founded in 1976 and has grown to nearly 200 associates serving over 3,000 clients including some of the largest retailers in the U.S.
Windsor Marketing Group has twice been recognized by the Connecticut Business and Industry Association for championing an environmentally and socially responsible business model. The construction project further solidifies the company’s commitment to local economic development.
The expansion will be facilitated by a $1.5 million loan through the Department of Economic and Community Development (DECD) and approved by the State Bond Commission. It will allow WMG to retain 138 local jobs and add 27 more in the future.
A wide range of local and state officials attended the event including DECD Commissioner Catherine Smith, State Representative Tami Zawistowski, CT DEEP Commissioner Robert Klee, and State Senator John Kissel.
State Rep. Zawistowski, a member of the legislature’s bipartisan Manufacturing Caucus, worked extensively with the WMG team in securing the loan from the DECD for the expansion.
