Century Interactive Named 'Fittest Company in Dallas'
Dallas, Texas (PRWEB) May 04, 2015 -- Century Interactive, Dallas’ fastest-growing tech company, took first place in the 2015 Fit Company Challenge, and was named the “Fittest Company in Dallas.”
The Fit Company Challenge is a day-long event, held every year in cities such as Houston, Austin, Dallas and Chicago. It was created to inspire and challenge working professionals to be more healthy and physically active.
Employees from various companies in the Dallas Fort Worth area competed this year, both in the individual and team categories. There were six teams in the medium-sized company category, including Century Interactive. The fit challenge tested stamina, strength and agility. Some of the exercises included planks, kettlebell swings and an agility course, complete with bear crawls.
Around 30 employees represented Century Interactive. Patrick Elverum, the company's COO, took part in the competition. He was beaming with pride after finding out that Century Interactive had won it all.
“This [was] a legitimately hard event, and I got to see a lot of my co-workers push themselves to their limits,” Elverum said. “It was awesome to see so many people out there encouraging their teammates and cheering for their co-workers. It actually made the event fun, despite the difficulty. Walking away, I could not have been more proud of CI. The fact that we took home first was just the icing on the cake.”
Elverum also participated in the 2014 Fit Company Challenge, but insisted on more widespread participation from Century Interactive in 2015. The company is full of young, athletic individuals who are willing to take on any challenge, so gaining mass participation was a simple task.
Elverum and company hope to see more participation from other companies at next year’s event. There’s little doubt that Century Interactive will return to defend the Fittest Company in Dallas title.
