Trillium Family Services Launches Anti-Stigma Video Campaign, Mental Health Heroes Awards and New Website for Mental Health Awareness Month
Portland, Oregon (PRWEB) May 01, 2015 -- Friday, May 1st marks the beginning of Mental Health Awareness Month and to celebrate, Trillium Family Services – Oregon’s largest provider of mental and behavioral healthcare – has launched a 31 day celebration of the individuals, organizations, businesses and community groups who have helped pave the way for mental and behavioral health to thrive in Oregon.
The 2015 “Keep Oregon Well” Mental Health Heroes will be featured every day in May on Trillium’s new website, which also launched this week, as well as on the walls of Trillium’s Children’s Farm Home Old School in Corvallis, with the opening reception taking place on May 1st from 5pm-8pm. In addition to the “Keep Oregon Well” Awards, Trillium has launched a four part anti-stigma video campaign starring Portland actress and comedian JoAnn Schinderle. The “Fight Stigma” video series lampoons the ridiculousness of stigma surrounding mental and behavioral health, asking the question “What if we treated physical health like mental health?” in a variety of comedic scenarios.
