By surveying thousands of product management professionals and executives, the results of this study will allow us to quantify these challenges, and better address the most urgent needs of product managers.

This week, the 280 Group, the world’s leading Product Management and Product Marketing services firm, is currently conducting the 2015 Challenges in Product Management survey, an unprecedented study on the most difficult challenges facing product management organizations throughout the world.

The ambitious study will survey several thousand product management executives, making it one of the first surveys to gather such extensive data from the product management community. Topics covered will include team optimization, product management process efficiency, leadership and skill levels of product managers, and working more efficiently with Agile development teams. The data and final report will be distributed to all participants and will provide pivotal information to the tech industry as a whole.

Product management is an often misunderstood field, carrying with it a distinct set of hurdles. In an age when product managers are being heralded as “mini-CEOs,” it is vital for the industry to gain a deeper understanding of the product management landscape.
