Look Twice, Save a Life Motorcycle Ride Stresses Motorcycle Awareness

The second annual event sponsored by The O'Sullivan Law Firm will bring hundreds of motorcyclists together to raise awareness for rider safety and help prevent motorcycle fatalities sweeping Colorado in 2015.

This ride will help to raise awareness among motorcyclists and auto drivers alike that we need to look twice so that we might save a life.

On May 17, 2015, hundreds of motorcyclists will take to their bikes in the second annual “Look Twice, Save a Life” ride. The motorcyclists will wear T-shirts that ask, “Can you see me now?!” and will ride from Rocky Mountain Harley-Davidson in Littleton to Wrigley’s Chicago Bar and Grill in Golden.

“This spring, we saw an alarming number of motorcycle fatalities on Colorado’s roads,” said Scott O’Sullivan of the O’Sullivan Law Firm, a sponsor of the event. “This ride will help to raise awareness among motorcyclists and auto drivers alike that we need to look twice so that we might save a life.”

According to O’Sullivan, most motorcycle accidents occur in intersections where people are turning left in front of oncoming traffic.

“Both motorcyclists and car drivers need to look twice into those oncoming lanes to be absolutely sure they haven’t missed oncoming traffic the first time they looked,” he added. “In general, if you’re driving near a motorcyclist, give him or her extra room and never tailgate. We all need to share the road.”

This event is hosted by BikerDown.org, a member-driven organization that offers Aflac insurance, roadside assistance and many other services to motorcyclists in the event of an accident.

The O’Sullivan Law Firm has been serving Colorado since 1996 and has helped hundreds of motorcycle accident victims and their families recover from traumatic accidents and injuries.

Registration for the event is $20 per person and runs from 9 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. at Rocky Mountain Harley-Davidson, 2885 W. County Line Road, Littleton. Then, at 11 a.m., it’s time for “kickstands up.” The ride ends at Wrigley’s Chicago Bar and Grill, 18200 W. Colfax in Golden. All registrants receive a T-shirt and chances to win great door prizes.
