Sensavis Inc. Secures First School District in the U.S. with Video Rights for “Flipped Classroom” Through Ed10x
Las Vegas, Nevada (PRWEB) May 12, 2015 -- Sensavis Inc. secures first school district in the U.S. with video rights for “flipped classroom” through Ed10x.
Sensavis Inc., the creator of the unique educational product “The 3D Classroom,” today announced that it has signed a contract with Lincoln County School District in Nevada. Lincoln County is the first school cistrict in the U.S. to implement The 3D Classroom with services in all their schools.
Launched in September 2013, The 3D Classroom is an intuitive product for interactive, 3D educational visualizations allowing for the lecturer to explain complex and abstract subjects to students, of all ages, in a simple and understandable way. Through years of research, Sensavis concluded three-dimensional objects are more likely to be retained by the human brain and capture viewer attention. With the new addition of services Sensavis solves several difficult tasks for a school district. PD (professional development) is expensive and complex to organize. With school districts producing their own PD videos with high quality content based on The 3D Classroom this becomes easy and on the districts own terms. Teachers can share their best videos to their students working with “flipped classroom” and also prepare substitute teachers with PD in an instant as well as support them with tutoring videos for class.
The 3D Classroom has a clear focus on STEM and includes content within biology, mathematics, chemistry, physics, engineering and geography. Sensavis is in constant dialogue with schools using The 3D Classroom and continuously develops new content based on their feedback.
“Lincoln County School District is energized and thrilled to partner with Sensavis Inc. and provide our teachers the opportunity to incorporate an interactive 3D Classroom curriculum resource into their instructional strategies,” said Steve Hansen, Superintendent for Lincoln County School District. As teachers develop this instructional enhancement and customize its application to the needs of their students, I believe student engagement will increase with improved achievement levels in critical thinking, creativity, collaboration, and communication. This teaching tool can provide unlimited extensions of the classroom to meet the individual needs of many students in difficult subjects. We are eager to begin the process of implementation and look forward to the partnership with Sensavis Inc,” explained Superintendent Hansen.
“We are very excited that Lincoln County as the first district in the U.S. has chosen Sensavis solution. Lincoln County is a school district that want to evolve and move education in to the future, now. With Superintendent Steve Hansen’s vision and the principals and teachers drive for change this is going to be a lasting relationship,” said Fredrik Olofsson, CEO for Sensavis AB, the Swedish-based parent company of Sensavis, Inc.
“The 3D Classroom brings to Lincoln County School District a state of the art teaching tool that will enable the students to grasp hard to understand concepts through stunning visuals. It takes our Professional Development initiatives to another dimension,” said Tiffany Kelly, CEO of Ed10x. “We introduced The 3D Classroom to Lincoln County School District because it fulfills one of our goals of capturing the students in those first few minutes of each lesson with technology enriched teaching methods. Furthermore Ed10x will be working with Sensavis to develop a video lesson library and a peer to peer video library,” explained Tiffany Kelly, CEO of Ed10x.
