In an upcoming segment of IN AMERICA, host James Earl Jones will introduce a segment that will delve into the local arts scene to share the hard work and dedication of those who seek to support art at the community level. While many think of art on a purely conceptual level, and experience it while in museums or at a large scale venue, the reality is that art is around us each and every day. IN AMERICA has decided to turn the spotlight on the work done by local Arts Foundations, and highlight the opportunities available for those who would like to have their own personal experience with the arts.
Supporting local Arts Foundations is a passion for some, but these organizations are in need of assistance in funding programs designed to bring art to the people. IN AMERICA will look at the challenges faced by many Foundations, and educate viewers on how they can become involved in supporting art within their own communities.
"In America" is independently produced and distributed. Local Public Television Stations across the nation can choose to share this programming with viewers. "In America" is not affiliated with PBS or APT.
