“Sundays Have Met Their Match” at Bethpage Polo at the Park
Bethpage, NY (PRWEB) May 07, 2015 -- Polo fans and guests can once again experience the “King of Sports” at the family friendly social event of the season set to happen in Bethpage, NY: Beginning on June 7th, Bethpage Polo at the Park will be in full swing as the unique social gathering continues to draw spectators and sponsors from all points east and west including Nassau, Suffolk and Manhattan. What was once referred to as the “Sport of Kings,” now growing in popularity as more and more fans frequent Bethpage State Park every Sunday to experience the action and ambiance of the world’s oldest team sport making it the “King of Sports”. Bethpage Polo at the Park is offering tourists and locals another reason to visit the family-friendly recreation destination according to polo manager, Bob Ceparano of Country Farms Polo in Medford. “We keep raising the bar each season, gradually building a fan base for Bethpage Polo at the Park” Said Ceparano. “Polo is coming into its own again in the area and we hope to someday make this venue an international destination for all horse enthusiasts.”
Bethpage Polo at the park over the past 5 years has gained support from various business entities. Past sponsors include U.S. Polo Assn. (the official apparel brand for the sport of polo in the U.S.), the United States Polo Association, MTA Long Island Railroad, Ferrari/Maserati, just to mention a few. This year’s sponsor will soon be announced.
Bethpage Polo has partnered with the MTA Long Island Railroad, offering local and city residents a convenient commute to this family-friendly destination where fans get to experience up close and personal time with the players and horses. Bethpage State Park is best known for its world-class golf course, Bethpage Black, which was the site of the U.S. Open Championship in 2002 and 2009.
With the addition of a beautiful and brand new VIP tent (sponsored by Elite Tent), and new event management by Couture Concepts NY, Polo at the Park will be more interactive than any other past year. For those who are not avid polo watchers, they can have the opportunity to indulge in other activities--from a game of horseshoe, to a “POLOroid” photo prop, as well as various vendors that will showcase other activities, contests and pop-up shops.
Tickets range from $5.00 for general admission to $35.00 for VIP tent access, which includes cocktails and hors d'oeuvres; children under 12 are free.
