Scaled Agile, Inc. Names Carol McEwan as Vice President of Community Success
Boulder, Colorado (PRWEB) May 05, 2015 -- Scaled Agile, Inc. (SAI), provider of the Scaled Agile Framework® (SAFe®), the world’s most comprehensive framework for adopting Lean-Agile best practices across an enterprise, today announced that Carol McEwan has joined the company’s executive team as Vice President of Community Success. In this new position, McEwan will be responsible for leading Scaled Agile’s customer success organization to meet the needs of the fast-growing SAFe certified practitioner community.
“The demand for training, education, certification, and support of the Scaled Agile Framework has increased dramatically as SAFe adoption accelerates around the world,” said Chris James, President and COO of Scaled Agile. “Carol’s experience in helping to ensure that Agile change agents and practitioners are successful at every step of their journey makes her the ideal person for this position.”
Before joining Scaled Agile, McEwan was the Managing Director of Scrum Alliance. Under her leadership, membership grew from 139,000 to 400,000+, and attendance of the organization’s signature events, Global Scrum Gatherings, more than doubled in just three years. She started her career in Information Technology as a software developer at TD Bank and honed her software development and systems administration skills at Esso Chemical. McEwan later joined Electronic Data Systems (EDS) where she held several IT management positions during her 17-year tenure.
“With her depth of knowledge and passion for the Agile community, Carol brings unique and exceptional value to this role,” said Dean Leffingwell, Scaled Agile’s Chief Methodologist and CEO. “Carol will elevate the level of service and support we offer, provide more quality and value to our members, and stay ahead of their needs with a highly responsive support and enablement team.”
“I’m thrilled to be a part of Scaled Agile’s rapid growth and to have the opportunity to work with such a dedicated and enthusiastic team,” said McEwan. “Scaled Agile is focused on what I am passionate about: enabling team and business success, building Lean-Agile leaders, and engaging with and supporting our broad community of executives, managers, and practitioners intent on achieving better business outcomes via Lean and Agile development. I look forward to working with the community and learning how we can better serve their needs.“
