Aging2.0 Global Innovation Summit Provides Unique Forum to Discover New Technologies and Develop Partnerships in the Senior Care Market
San Francisco, CA (PRWEB) May 06, 2015 -- Aging2.0 - the global network and startup accelerator program - today announced the latest lineup of speakers and sponsors for its second annual Global Innovation Summit. The invitation-only event, scheduled for May 18-19 in San Francisco, brings together a select group of senior care executives, consumer technology leaders, investors and more than 50 startups from around the world to discuss emerging trends, cultivate partnerships and discover new products and services for the aging population.
“The Summit is uniquely hyper-focused on the intersection of aging and technology innovation,” said Katy Fike PhD, co-founder of Aging2.0. “We focus on trends and innovations within senior care as well as in adjacent industries to highlight and accelerate solutions to transform the aging experience.”
The Summit agenda includes presentations from luminary leaders in healthcare and hospitality, a fireside chat about intergenerational design, a panel of senior care industry executives, pitches from top startups and more. The Summit is a highly-curated opportunity for attendees to network and build connections with innovators from across disciplines and across cultures.
Tom Lee, Founder and CEO of One Medical Group, will share his perspective using tech-enabled, user-centered design to reinvent the primary care experience, delight customers and build a nationally respected brand.
Chip Conley, Head of Global Hospitality and Strategy at Airbnb and Founder of Joie de Vivre Hotels, will share his methods for elevating the experiences of customers, employees and investors to create award-winning, profitable organizations and generate deep loyalty from these three key relationships.
Barbara Beskind (91), a designer at IDEO, will discuss the importance of intergenerational innovation, how her background as an occupational therapist influences her perspective and her many product ideas, inventions and patents.
The Aging2.0 Leaders Circle panel will provide insight into key industry trends and the innovation priorities of many of the largest, most well-respected organizations in senior care including Genesis Rehab Services, Home Instead Senior Care, LCS, PointClickCare, Brookdale and Health Care REIT.
The Aging2.0 Academy startups will pitch from the stage and over 50 hand-picked companies will be exhibiting in the Startup Showcase.
"Aging2.0's reach of over 10,000 innovators, including more than 20 active chapters around the world, makes for a truly global conversation," said Stephen Johnston, Aging2.0 co-founder. "With representatives from 10+ countries including China, Brazil, the Netherlands, Israel, Taiwan, Japan, Canada and the UK, attendees will be sharing best practices and deepening ties to help them scale internationally.”
Attendees of last year's inaugural Summit attest to its impact. "As the largest provider of non-medical home care globally, we are dedicated to exploring the innovations and relationships that can help further our mission to change the face of aging,” said Scott Dingfield, Chief Innovation Officer at Home Instead Senior Care, a Leaders Circle partner. “The Aging2.0 Summit provides an efficient and thought-provoking forum to meet with an elite group of entrepreneurs, industry executives and investors who collectively believe in the power of innovation to positively impact our industry and the lives of older adults and their families.”
