Speaking about chiropractic benefits helps us extend our veteran services even further into the community, while the veterans learn about how they can get the most out of their benefits.

Dr. Gip, a Doctor of Chiropractics (D.C.) with the Silverdale Health & Injury Center, recently visited the Burwell Street, Bremerton Disabled American Veterans (DAV) location to educate veterans about all of the benefits of healthy living and chiropractic care have to offer.

The DAV exists to empower veterans and help them lead high-quality lives with respect and dignity. The advocacy and assistance group ensure veterans and families access a full range of benefits, advocates for their interests in the government, and educates the public about their sacrifices.

The Silverdale Health & Injury Center was already a large supporter of the nation's veterans, and has been since it was first founded. Dr. Gip regularly assist veterans with their spinal posture, neck and back conditions.

The clinic offers veterans special benefits with no charge consultations and screenings. Every year on Veteran's Day, the Silverdale Health & Injury Center runs a pro bono special for veterans.

However, many veterans didn't know that they could receive chiropractic care to the Silverdale Health & Injury Center with a referral from their VA doctor. The DAV group requested Dr. Gip speak on behalf of the Silverdale Health & Injury Center to let the disabled veterans learn about the clinic's services.

"We enjoy helping veterans regain their neck and back ROM and strength, feeling better overall." explained Dr. Gip. "As a community service, we offer health seminars in Kitsap County to educate health and vitality."

After the discussion, the response from the large group was very positive, they even asked Dr. Gip participate in upcoming DAV events.

"We're a huge military community and speaking to the Disabled American Veterans is a big deal for us and them," said Dr. Gip. "Speaking about chiropractic benefits helps us extend our veteran services even further into the community, while the veterans learn about how they can get the most out of their benefits."
