On May 13 from 9:50 to 10:30 am, Melissa Simpler will be representing the AllSeen Alliance at the IoT protocol keynote panel on the main stage. The AllSeen Alliance is an open source consortium of 140+ companies committed to making the Internet of Things a reality. Panelists from several different IoT groups will be discussing the range of enabling technologies for IoT; overcoming interoperability challenges; which wireless standards will be most pertinent; and how to integrate the different standards such as integrating technologies in the radio access and application layer.. Simpler will be joined on the panel by speakers from the Industrial Internet Consortium, Thread Group, OneM2M, IPSO Alliance, and OIC.

On May 12 at 2 pm at the IoT Stage on the exhibition show floor, Art Lancaster will be speaking at the IoT Open Source Summit. Lancaster will be discussing the AllSeen Alliance and open source IoT approaches, such as the objective and scope of key IoT open source initiatives, and when and how IoT developers should use open source tools.

Affinegy will also be showcasing its technology and several IoT interoperability solutions, at the AllSeen Alliance booth #110. Specifically Affinegy will demonstrate how its CHARIOT cloud services work with AllSeen Alliance connected products and applications. Affinegy’s CHARIOT Cloud provides a Simple, Secure and Scalable services stack for AllJoyn applications, enabling these mobile apps to work away from home just like they were still at home - and directly peer to peer with fast operation. Affinegy will also demonstrate how easy it is to onboard AllJoyn-enabled products with its CHARIOT Cloud service, and how easy it is for IoT developers to cloud enable products with CHARIOT.

In its demonstration, Affinegy’s CHARIOT Cloud and Client software will demonstrate how easy and seamless it is to connect and make more intelligent several connected devices of the home, including LG’s SmartTV, Powertech’s WiFi smart plug, LIFX’s LED Wi-Fi light bulb, Fon’s Gramafon WiFi music player. Connected consumer use cases for enabling, managing and using all of these devices simply and securely inside and away from home will be shown on Nexus tablet and smartphone, an Acer Ultrabook and an Apple MacBook.
