PHES Offers Package Courses for Introductory Rate of $20
Houston, Texas (PRWEB) May 07, 2015 -- Healthcare education company Professional Healthcare Education Service, Inc. (PHES) recently announced that it will collaborate with IMU Southwest to offer courses packaged together for an attractive, affordable price. Students interested will only pay $20 for a limited introductory period.
Based in the Houston metro area, PHES has been providing courses to resident throughout the state of Texas for the past few decades. The company is an accredited provider of continuing nursing education by the California Board of Nursing, and the Texas Board of Nursing accepts its courses. IMU Southwest, also based in the Houston area, provides vaccines, TB skin tests, injections, blood draws for titer testing, and drug testing. It is a CDC Certified Yellow Fever Vaccination Clinic, and it is registered with the Department of State Health Services.
PHES provides a robust list of courses to choose from. Courses include Medication Administration (with or without clinical), Nursing Jurisprudence, Nursing Ethics, Physical Assessment, General Principals of Pharmacology, CPR, Infection Control, and Abuse & Neglect.
PHES also provides Texas, Louisiana and California Board of Nursing approved Remediation courses for nurses with board or peer review stipulations. Also worthy of note is the computerized Nurse Refresher Course option. Although initially developed with nurses with inactive licenses in mind, the program has since been extended to nurses with active licenses. Overseas-educated nurses and those with restrictions on their licenses are also eligible for the Nurse Refresher program.
Courses fulfill the new Texas Board of Nursing requirements for two hours of education on Jurisprudence and Ethics. They also meet the two-hour requirement for education related to geriatrics for nurses who focus on geriatric populations.
All instructors from PHES are currently licensed, practicing Registered Nurses (RNs) who are experts in their respective practice fields. Each instructor is a member of the Texas Nurses Association and the American Association of Critical Care Nurses. Course mentors have, at a minimum, Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) degree, with RNs directing, supervising, providing guidance during all clinical experiences. In addition to Houston, students can take PHES courses at other locations in Texas, including San Antonio, Texarkana, Dallas, and Plano.
