DDC FPO Supports WildEarth Guardians for Third Consecutive Year as Howling Affair’s Wildlife Lover Sponsor
Denver, Colorado (PRWEB) May 06, 2015 -- DDC FPO, the world leader in freight process outsourcing, is honored to participate for a third consecutive year as the Wildlife Lover Sponsor of WildEarth Guardians' annual Howling Affair benefit dinner in Denver, Colorado.
The 2015 event will focus on Wildlife, one of the four programs operated by WildEarth Guardians. The other three programs consist of Wild Places, Climate and Energy, and Wild Rivers.
The Wildlife program focuses on ensuring and enforcing protections for threatened and endangered species, and on reducing cruelty to wildlife by ending trapping, poisoning and killing contests. This year’s Howling Affair will raise money specifically to support Guardians’ efforts to restore wolves to their native habitats in Colorado.
WildEarth Guardians is excited to welcome Michael W. Leach, former Yellowstone National Park ranger, as the 2015 Howling Affair guest speaker. His work as a ranger naturalist and Bear Education Ranger in Yellowstone National Park inspired his vision to start a Yellowstone-base nonprofit, Yellowstone Country Guardians YCG.
Leach travels the country as a keynote speaker presenting on an array of topics, ranging from grizzlies in Yellowstone to motivating youth to action. His book of Yellowstone essays, Grizzlies On My Mind, was published in May of 2014. Working as a freelance nature writer, Leach's passionate, edgy and provocative prose has appeared in numerous publications.
The 2015 Howling Affair in Denver will also host a new activity for WildEarth Guardians: On-site actions stations. These action stations will allow for attendees to get involved at the event and sign petitions that are written specifically to achieve WildEarth Guardians’ program goals.
“DDC FPO supports WildEarth Guardians because we believe in the work they are doing and how they are doing it," said Marissa Crotty, DDC FPO's president of operations for North America. "WildEarth Guardians is a true grassroots movement, and we admire the transparency and passion exercised in their fight to protect endangered species."
The seventh annual Denver Howling Affair will be held at the Curtis Hotel on Friday, May 8, 2015 from 6:30-9:30p.m. To reserve tickets, email WildEarth Guardians' associate director Carol Norton directly via cnorton(at)wildearthguardians(dot)org.
