Food expert and world traveler Simon Majumdar is best known for his frequent appearances on the Food Network and for his best-selling books, Eat My Globe and Eating for Britain. He’s an author, journalist and a TV personality whose recurring role as judge on Cutthroat Kitchen, Iron Chef America, and The Next Iron Chef has earned him the title of Food Network’s “toughest critic”.
His latest book “Fed, White and Blue” catalogues his journey to American citizenship through extraordinary food experiences and was published on April 7, 2015.
“We had the pleasure of having Simon come in as a guest chef for our first Annual “Summer Solstice” dinner benefiting the Mill Village Farm rooftop farm initiative here in Greenville in 2014”, says Bob Munnich, managing partner of Larkin’s Restaurants. “We’ve collaborated on a few dinners since then, so when I got the call to work with him again and be a part of his book tour, I was thrilled”.
The dinner will be held at Larkin's Sawmill catering facility at 22 Graves Drive in Greenville, SC on May 20th starting at 6:30pm. Chef Simon Majumdar, Chef Alex Castro and Chef Bob Munnich of Larkin’s® will join forces to create a delightful “Southern Cuisine with an Indian Flair” coursed dinner.
