Boston, MA (PRWEB) May 07, 2015 -- Blackbird Technologies has settled a patent infringement lawsuit with Amazon.
Blackbird Technologies (http://www.blackbird-tech.com) filed 13 lawsuits in September 2014 on United States Patent No. 6,425,349, relating to a bicycle pet carrier, in the United States District Court for the District of Delaware. To date, Blackbird Technologies has resolved 11 of the 13 suits. In February 2015, Blackbird Technologies settled one of these cases with Amazon (14-cv-01157), concerning the Kurgo Skybox Bike Basket.
In the last quarter of 2014, Blackbird Technologies settled the first of the pet carrier lawsuits with manufacturers Pet Gear (14-cv-01163), maker of the 3-in-1 Pet Carrier, and PetEgo (14-cv-01162), maker of the Pod iLove Pet Carrier. Cases filed against retailers of these products, PetSmart (14-cv-1165), Walmart (14-cv-1169), Target (14-cv-1167), Drs. Foster and Smith (14-cv-1158), Pet Supermarket (14-cv-1160), PetSense (14-cv-1164) and UnbeatableSale.com (14-cv-1168), were dismissed. A case against Sears (14-cv-1166) concerning the Kurgo product was also resolved. Two pet carrier lawsuits remain, against defendants Motivation Design, LLC d/b/a Kurgo (14-cv-1159) and Petco Animal Supplies, Inc. (14-cv-1161).
