It’s not unusual that by the time a CIO hears about Smartsheet, it’s being used by hundreds of employees already.
Bellevue, WA (PRWEB) May 06, 2015
Smartsheet today showcased the growing demand for, and increased usage of, its spreadsheet-inspired collaborative work management tool. The company cited 80 percent growth in revenue year over year for each of the past five years and a new milestone of 62,000 paying organizations worldwide with more than six million people registered. In particular, large organizations are adopting and expanding their usage, evidenced by a 3x increase in enterprise accounts in the past year.
"Smartsheet offers a uniquely powerful means to getting work done in today's distributed, decentralized, and discontinuous workforce, in an very intuitive user experience," said Stowe Boyd, Principal Analyst at Digital Clarity Group. "Add integrations with Microsoft and Google, and Smartsheet delivers tools that work how and where people want them to."
Hailed as ‘spreadsheet-easy and enterprise ready,’ organizations across every industry segment are adopting Smartsheet. New customers deploying Smartsheet in the last year include: Turner Sports, Toyota Motor Sales USA, Inc., American Heart Association, U-Haul, Red Bull, Sunoco, Facebook, Airbnb, Tough Mudder, and John Hopkins University. Other companies continue to expand their usage of Smartsheet, including Google, GSA, Netflix, Intercontinental Hotel Group, Cisco, Bayer, Groupon, Pearson, HomeAway, QAD, McGraw-Hill Education, DHL, ESPN, and Colliers.
As people share “sheets” with others in their company, as well as external collaborators such as vendors, clients, and agencies, adoption grows organically. “It’s not unusual that by the time a CIO hears about Smartsheet, it’s being used by hundreds of employees already,” said Mark Mader, CEO of Smartsheet. “When you can show them a visualization of how the adoption has spread, the variety of ways it’s being used, and who’s collaborating with whom, the conversations are much different – and faster – than most enterprise software companies could ever imagine.”
Top-tier industry analysts have also highlighted Smartsheet’s value to organizations. In a related announcement today, Gartner named Smartsheet on its highly regarded Cool Vendors in PPM report. Additionally, Forrester Research’s Total Economic Impact (TEI) study of Smartsheet, published in February 2015, found 25 percent increase in team productivity, faster time to market, bigger deals and more collaborative culture.
The company has also recently announced deeper partnerships with industry heavyweights, including a seamless integration of Microsoft Office 365 and Azure Active Directory, Google for Work, DocuSign, and Tableau. As one of the initial Google Apps Independent Software Vendors (ISVs) and now a Google Premier Technology Partner, Smartsheet has also signed reseller agreements with top US and European Google Resellers.
Mader added, “We’re striving every day – from the product we develop, to the support and training we provide, to the staff and partners we surround ourselves with, to deliver an experience that is dramatically better than business as usual – we’re looking for big, measurable impact with everything we do. With nearly 200 new paying customers onboarding every day, both the table stakes and the opportunity are growing exponentially.”
Smartsheet, based in Bellevue Wash., plans to double its staff in 2015, from 170 to more than 300.
