Street Fight Expands Research Department, Adds Former Gigaom Analyst
Boulder, Colorado (PRWEB) May 07, 2015 -- Street Fight (http://streetfightmag.com), the leading source of information and events on local and mobile marketing technology, announced today that David Card has joined the company to head up the company’s signature Street Fight Insights (http://streetfightinsights.com) research arm. Card was most recently VP of research at Gigaom, where he helped pioneer a premier research service that reached millions of readers a month. He previously held senior level positions at Forrester Research, Jupiter Research, and IDC.
As research director at Street Fight, Card will oversee annual publications such as Street Fight’s “Local Merchant Report,” the only in-depth analysis of the marketing technology dynamics playing out on Main Street. He will also expand the company’s range of offerings through development of new products, in addition to producing white papers and webinars.
“Local is a fascinating space, still in its infancy,” said Card. “It’s exciting to be part of a dynamic team focused on this exploding area of innovation.”
Laura Rich, co-founder and CEO of Street Fight, said, “We couldn’t be more thrilled to have David join us. His combination of deep research experience and passion for innovations in technology make him a perfect fit for Street Fight and where we’re headed. Research is a fundamental necessity in a new industry, and our position in the marketplace gives us a great vantage point for offering the insights and analysis needed to make business decisions that will have lasting positive impact.”
Street Fight Insights, launched in 2012, plans to increase the frequency of its reports in 2015 and into 2016, expanding into new formats and providing rich original data for the local marketing community.
