The 2015 Principal® Financial Dreams Tour Celebrates Baseball’s Legendary Players
Des Moines, IA (PRWEB) May 14, 2015 -- The Principal Financial Group® will celebrate some of baseball’s most exciting and best-loved players during the 2015 Principal® Financial Dreams Tour. The Tour will make 17 stops from coast-to-coast and will provide event attendees with information to help them plan for a brighter financial future for themselves and their families.
Since 2004, The Principal® has brought more than 500 events to minor league ballparks, attracting more than two million fans. Past tours have celebrated our nation’s military members, given fans the chance to meet some of baseball’s biggest stars and offered ballpark attendees the chance to receive unique collectible souvenirs.
At each of 17 stops on the tour this year, a legendary player and fan favorite will be on hand to meet with fans, sign autographs and pose for photos. Additionally, the player will throw out a ceremonial first pitch, talk about his career highlights during the game’s radio broadcast, and participate in an on-field ceremony in which The Principal will make a $1,000 contribution to a local charity affiliated with the team.
“The Principal Financial Dreams Tour is more than just a day at the ballpark,” said Steve Whitty, vice president, corporate marketing, The Principal. “We want to help fans celebrate America’s national pastime while encouraging them to take simple steps toward improving their financial security.”
“The Birmingham Barons are honored to continue a most successful partnership with The Principal and to be again included in this year’s Dreams Tour,” said John Cook, sales director with the Birmingham Barons.
