Terence Traut, Entelechy’s President, spoke on Coaching for Talent Development and Employee Engagement at this year’s ISPI 2015 Conference held in San Antonio, TX. Terry presented this 75-minute workshop to a packed room in an engaging, fun, and enlightening session. Yet, according to Traut, “most coaching models and training don’t provide a practical, prescriptive tool for coaching. Most training talks about how important it is to listen to the employee, to use questions, to display empathy, to focus on goals…. Interesting stuff, but not really useful, which is why most employee surveys indicate that their managers don’t coach them.”
