SmartCrowdz Announces Event Industry-Low Transaction Fees For Users
Columbus, OH (PRWEB) May 07, 2015 -- SmartCrowdz announced its event transaction fees have been dropped to only include credit card processing fees. By only charging the actual credit card processing fee of less than 3 percent on event-related transactions, SmartCrowdz will maintain the most affordable option in the event industry.
This offer continues the company’s plans to revamp the outdated business models offered to date by event technology vendors, where event websites and mobile apps are expensive and complicated to build and manage.
“Since our founding, we have been focused on fundamentally changing the business paradigm in the event technology industry, including the outdated licensing, transactional and project pricing models offered by traditional players,” said Randy Smith, cofounder and managing partner of SmartCrowdz. “We have flipped the model from monetizing the event technology and transactions to monetizing event traffic through advertising, sponsorships and other means."
The announcement that SmartCrowdz is waiving its transaction fees complements its base pricing approach of not charging for the licensing, development and management of event websites and mobile apps. While offering an option to event managers to turn off ads and sponsorships for a fee, the principal revenue sources of SmartCrowdz are event advertising and sponsorship. The company continues to explore new ways to bring more value to event planners and managers.
“We created SmartCrowdz to make it easy for event managers to create, market, manage and monetize events,” said Mike Lanese, cofounder and managing partner of SmartCrowdz. “We understand that planners need to keep more of what they’re bringing in financially, so we decided to make our transactions processing fees the lowest in the industry."
