CAMPBELL, California (PRWEB) May 07, 2015
Intellectsoft, a software and mobile application technology business, has developed the Skinstamatic app for SkinPhotoTextMatch, Inc. Skinstamatic allows users to take a photo with their smart phone and get information about their skin, including early warning signs of possible skin cancers.
Skinstamatic is the first app to leverage a Gamified Collective Intelligence EngineTM to diagnose skin problems among a group of certified dermatologists. The app features links to “wikiskinatlas”, a convenient online dermatological directory with information about different types of skin problems. There is also a user forum and blog within the app for educational purposes.
An additional feature of the Skinstamatic app allows users to schedule an appointment with a local dermatologist for diagnosis and treatment. The user can even use the app to forward their photo to the chosen dermatologist prior to arranging an appointment. The app is available for web and iOS.
Uri Soroka, chief operating officer at Intellectsoft, stated, “This application is not only an extremely convenient way to monitor skin health on a regular basis, but it can literally be a life saver when it comes to early detection and prevention of skin cancer.”
