Second Annual Game Changers Summit Offers ICT4D Workshops to 'Harness Power of Technology for Global Good'
NASHVILLE, Tenn. (PRWEB) May 06, 2015 -- The dates have been selected and registration is open for the Game Changers Summit 2015, an Information & Technology for Development (ICT4D) conference hosted by United Methodist Communications. Join the international gathering September 17-19 at the Gaylord Opryland Hotel in Nashville when technology and communication leaders from around the globe will speak and train on developing communication strategy to aid social good throughout the developing world.
The theme of the two-and-a-half-day event is “Harness the power of technology for global good,” with demonstrations of how information and communication technology can be used to improve all facets of life. Workshop topics will include mobile money, mobile health, e-learning, crisis communications, and women’s empowerment through IT.
“The Ebola crisis demonstrated how vital the right communications solution can be – reaching people where they are – even outside the bounds of grid and network coverage,” said the Rev. Neelley Hicks, Director for ICT4D Church Initiatives for United Methodist Communications.
