Silicon Valley Startup Elektet Builds Google Apps For Electronics Design Engineers
PALO ALTO, Calif. (PRWEB) May 08, 2015 -- Elektet, a startup in Silicon Valley founded by Javier Solorzano, plans to launch a new website aimed at solving electronics design engineers’ online frustrations when searching for parts and designing products.
By combining a user-centered design for the electronic part search process with features including a collaboration environment similar to Google Drive, a circuit sketch tool, a datasheet annotation tool, and a workplace tool helping them get work done, Elektet delivers a way for engineers to build electronic products smarter and faster.
“I envision a social community component to the web app where engineers share data they’ve taken during their design process - data that most manufacturers cannot produce due to limited resources. This library of data saves engineers time converging on a final part or design decision,” he said.
Mr. Solorzano worked as an applications engineer for multiple semiconductor manufacturers including Cypress Semiconductor, Micrel, and most recently Touchstone Semiconductor, which was acquired by Silicon Labs. After hearing the same frustrations from engineers looking for parts, he decided to do something about it.
In order to make this web app a reality, Elektet is using a crowd speaking campaign to send out a social media message announcing the beta site launch on June 1st, 2015.
