Pearl River Resort Director Receives Top Honor
Choctaw, MS (PRWEB) May 07, 2015 -- Pearl River Resort is pleased to announce that Erica Clemons Moore has been listed among Mississippi Business Journal’s Top 50 Under 40. Mississippi’s prestigious awards program recognizes the state’s emerging business leaders under the age of 40 who have made significant contributions to Mississippi’s overall economic progress, often working at their own local levels. Moore and her fellow award recipients were recently honored at a luncheon in Jackson and will be profiled in an upcoming special edition of the Mississippi Business Journal.
Moore has over ten years of progressive experience in marketing, public relations and event budgeting and planning. She was promoted to Director of Public Relations, Internal Communications and Special Projects in 2014. She previously served as Public Relations Manager at Pearl River Resort in which she has led the public relations team, creating a strategic and integrated communication program for both the public and the resort’s nearly 3,000 employees. During her tenure, the Resort has gained national media attention from NBC’s The Biggest Loser, ABC’s Good Morning America and over 80 national media outlets (online and offline).

In her role as Director of PR, IC & SP, Moore is responsible for managing all media relations initiative for the Resort properties which consist of three casinos, three hotels, two top ranked golf courses and a water park. She oversees a team of writers, media specialists, and event planners. Moore also oversees employee communication and special projects which include community service, fundraisers, sponsorships, and media events.

In addition to her community service efforts at the Resort, Moore is also active in her community during her free time. She served as President of United Way for two years and she is currently a mentor for high school girls in the program, OhoyoThanko Chi (To Build a Strong Woman).
Moore holds a bachelor’s degree in Communication and Public Relations from Mississippi State University and a master’s degree in Public Relations from University of Southern Mississippi.
