One-Button Live Audio Webcasting

Engineered Stuff announces the release of Webcaster for iOS. Webcaster is a live audio webcasting system used to broadcast live audio directly from an iPhone, iPad, or iPod Touch.

Existing audio streaming services require specialized servers to distribute content to end users. These servers require set-up and maintenance. In a large-scale deployment, this can be costly. According to a New York Times report by Ben Sisario, bands were previously improvising ways to stream live shows. “...for the most part, only big festivals and promoters have had the resources to send as-it-happens audio over the Internet.”

Using Webcaster is simple. Audio captured by a mobile device microphone is transmitted directly to a cloud-based internet media server system, and then directly to listeners on the internet.

Webcaster is available in the iOS App Store. Webcaster runs on iPhone, iPad, and iPod Touch, iOS 8.1 and higher.

At Engineered Stuff, we're passionate about creating valuable, useful apps for iPad, iPhone, and iPod Touch. Whether it's audio apps like Webcaster, iEQ, or Stereo Mic Tools, or handy apps like Protractor Cam and Camping List. Our apps have gained “1st screen” status on iOS devices around the world.
