The survey found there is a 2% median market increase projected for 2015 nursing positions

Integrated Healthcare Strategies, a national healthcare human resource consulting firm and leader in compensation and engagement surveys, recently published its 2015 National Nursing Compensation Survey. This survey has been proven to be an effective tool for managing nursing salaries.

The survey, released May 8, presents data on emerging positions in healthcare as well as trends and special pay practices around the country from a total of 792 participating healthcare systems and hospitals, representing approximately 540,000 employees. National and regional data was summarized for 36 nursing leadership positions and 100 nursing staff positions.

The data compiled for the National Nursing Compensation Survey is effective January 1, 2015.

A few key findings from the survey include:

  • 2% median market increase projected for 2015 nursing positions
  • Approximately 80% of top nursing executives are eligible for an annual incentive award
