Lakeland, Florida (PRWEB) May 12, 2015
U.K.-based MESM, which provides global equipment solutions to the medical clinical trials industry, is the first lessee to sign on at the new Ruthven West Lakeland Industrial Park at 3150 County Line Road. The firm moved into its new quarters from its Wauchula, Florida, location the end of April. MESM, which first established its U.S. presence in Sebring, Florida in 2013, has signed a long term lease at the Lakeland site.
MESM Co-founder and Managing Director David Maughan, said the company chose the Ruthvens site for its excellent transportation links, its centralized location between Tampa and Orlando, and the flexibility to build and develop additional space as the business expands.
“In addition to the ideal location and great transportation options which allow us to reach the entire western hemisphere, the area population offers a strong skill set to support our business compared to the other areas we considered in North and South Carolina and southern Florida,” Mr. Maughan explained. “And it has been a pleasure to work with the Ruthvens. They made our transition much easier by offering us temporary quarters for ten months prior to moving to the permanent facility and they were quite involved in our design process to accommodate our needs for special air conditioning, parts storage and expansion options.”
The firm, founded in 2007, has experienced significant growth since its inception, with gains of 50 to 100% each year, according to Mr. Maughan. This has required an accelerated expansion plan to meet demand. In addition to the Lakeland facility, MESM has two facilities in the U.K. and plans to expand into South America, China and Japan in the very near future.
The Ruthven West Lakeland Industrial Park provides flexible space that may be used for offices, showrooms and warehousing, which can be leased in multiples of 5,600 square feet. The property provides extra trailer parking and ample employee and customer parking, 10-feet-by-10-feet overhead doors into the space and 24 feet of clear height. The industrial park is conveniently located only minutes from the Interstate 4 interchange and Highways 92 and 570 (Polk Parkway).
U.K.-based MESM sources, supplies and manages global equipment solutions to the clinical trials industry and develops and offers innovations to speed trials and improve patient enrollment and retention. In addition, MESM provides asset management solutions for all clinical trials equipment and supplies from initiation to conclusion, as well as on-site technical support via its MServe arm. The company currently supports studies in more than 70 countries by managing all aspects of the medical equipment, consumables and related products used in the trials. These include medical and laboratory equipment, point-of-care equipment solutions and such consumables as temperature probes and transport coolers.
