Unlimi-Tech Software, Inc., creator of FileCatalyst, today announces that Calgary, Canada based NovAtel Inc has chosen FileCatalyst Direct for their high-speed file transfer requirements.

NovAtel is a global leader with the industry’s most comprehensive line of Global Navigation Satellite System (GNSS) products. Novatel’s integrated global positioning solutions deliver success time and time again, on land, sea, and in the air. They help many of the world’s leading companies stay in the lead by consistently delivering OEM global satellite positioning products that are recognized for their technical innovation, accuracy, unsurpassed quality and industry-leading customer support.

Prior to implementing a FileCatalyst solution, NovAtel used Windows copy/paste or simple batch files to exchange daily software build data from their engineering office in Hyderabad, India. Employees previously did copy/paste file transfers with large file sets, some up to 800GB, and often the excessive packet loss would cause the transfer job to timeout and quit.

With the implementation of FileCatalyst Direct, NovAtel employees are now able to transfer their large datasets across the globe quickly and securely. FileCatalyst has helped NovAtel increase efficiency between their engineering teams in diverse locations by maintaining strict build versions, while at the same time decreasing the load on the network’s bandwidth demands. FileCatalyst’s flexible interface has also allowed NovAtel to shape their daily data transfers to fit within their bandwidth limitation to their long distance engineering site.

“So far, our experience with using FileCatalyst has been exemplary,” said Andrew Oldridge, System Administrator at NovAtel. “Their support team has been quick to respond and they have proven to be a reliable and dedicated company to work with.”

“We are excited to be working with NovAtel, as this further demonstrates the flexibility that FileCatalyst offers, regardless of the industry vertical,” said Dave McKeen, Vice President, Enterprise Sales at FileCatalyst.
