Iconic Marketing Promotions Company Changes Name to YA and Prepares for Move to Downtown Minneapolis
Minneapolis, MN (PRWEB) May 11, 2015 -- After more than 40 years as one of the nation’s leading end-to-end marketing promotions companies, Young America, is changing its name to YA and moving its headquarters to the Lumber Exchange Building in downtown Minneapolis. The name change to YA is effective June 1, 2015.
“During the past few years we have experienced tremendous growth, adapting our business to the dramatic digital, social and mobile shifts in our industry,” said YA President and CEO Chris Behrens. “We believe our new name and new location reflect our focus on meeting our clients and their customers where they are in this changing environment.”
2014 was a tremendous year of growth for YA with the addition of 20 new clients. Year-over-year, revenue increased 18 percent. More importantly, with the execution of a client-centric strategic plan that was kicked-off in Q4 of 2013, YA realized a 33 percent increase in revenue driven by delivering digital promotional marketing solutions that clients and their customers want.
During this time the business has continued its evolution from traditional promotional marketing programs such as mail in rebates to the sophisticated execution of digital marketing solutions. In 2014, 90 percent of YA’s consumer interactions on behalf of clients were digital. The growth in revenue has resulted in a 52 percent increase in profitability (measured in EBITDA), year-over-year.
“YA uses its promotional services expertise to engage our clients’ customers. The definition of ‘engage’ is to ‘occupy, attract or involve someone’s interest or attention,’ and that’s exactly where we have taken this business, creating programs that turn even first-time customers into life-long advocates,” said Behrens. “In conjunction with the name change, our new web site address will become young-america.com.”
The move from current offices in Norwood Young America, Minn., and Edina, Minn., will be complete by the end of May 2015. All 100+ U.S.-based employees will move to the new headquarters building, located at 10 S. 5th Street in downtown Minneapolis.
YA will continue to expand its business operations in Canada along with its operation in Mexico through its partnership with DATAMARK, Inc.
“We would like to thank the city of Norwood Young America for its unyielding support of our organization, and we are honored to have had it as our home for more than 40 years,” said Behrens.
To commemorate YA’s long history with the Norwood Young America community, the company will be making a donation to the city designated to the Park and Recreation Department.
