“The updates reflects our commitment to the carrier community to maintain the most technologically advanced and modern platform from which to securely exchange bilateral contracts in real time,” Michael Wallrath, Managing Director, Systems & Solutions.

B2BSimpleX, named Best Service Innovation at the Global Carrier Awards late last year, announced today it has made updates to its e-contract solution to help wholesale carriers further optimize their ability to forecast traffic and track destinations, in addition to other tools that can be used to automatically measure and validate interconnect contract performance.

The ability to instantly forecast and predict traffic enables wholesale carriers to avoid revenue seepage due to shortfalls or traffic that exceeds contract limits. Along with other B2BSimpleX tools that automatically track traffic origins and destinations in real-time, carriers are able to quickly amend agreements with new terms and side letters to meet changing market conditions.

“The updates reflects our commitment to the carrier community and our close working relationships with GBET and GSC and other carrier forums to maintain the most technologically advanced and modern platform from which to securely exchange bilateral contracts in real time,” Michael Wallrath, Managing Director, Ascom Systems & Solutions.

Making the Complex Simple(X)

Prior to the development of B2BSimpleX, wholesale carriers’ ability to match pricing to destinations had been plagued with uncertainties, misinterpretations and incorrect pricing due to outdated manual practices and ambiguities in footnotes and remarks in billing and financial statements.

B2BSimpleX automates the entire interconnect process -- everything from negotiation and contract exchange to monitoring contract performance, eliminating what had been a cumbersome, expensive and contentious process. The solution enables carriers to exchange bilateral agreements quickly and automatically verifies dial codes, tariffs, termination and transit fees, legal ambiguities, and surcharges with a simple click. Other B2BSimpleX tools allow users to evaluate risk as well as potential partners’ credit worthiness and payment history. In addition, users can model business cases and conduct ‘what if’ scenarios to judge the merits of an agreement -- before it’s signed.

On the reconciliation side, B2BSimpleX automatically matches incoming line items against invoices. Discrepancies are automatically flagged and dispute letters are generated with a simple click. B2BSimpleX can also be used to automatically prepare financial statements reporting Final Contract Calculations, providing a true reflection of what was negotiated and what was measured -- a “Negotiate-to-Bill” view of contracts that can include the results of settled disputes.

Last year, B2BSimpleX also became the first OSS/BSS solutions provider to fully support origin-based price differentiation and surcharges. The innovative middleware solution addresses a pressing need by the international wholesale carrier community for a mechanism that allows them to better identify and match traffic destinations to appropriate rates and surcharges. It enables carries to define origin countries and when origin-based charges apply, providing greater clarity, transparency and revenue assurance.
