Connections Education Middle School Arts by Pearson Wins 2015 Software & Information Industry Association CODiE Award
New York, NY (PRWEB) May 11, 2015 -- May 11, 2015 – Connections Education Middle School Arts by Pearson is the winner of a 2015 Software & Information Industry CODiE Award. Honored in the Best Arts & Creativity Solution category, the online course is organized around the three artistic processes of creating, presenting and responding. The CODiE honor comes on the heels of other 2015 awards for Connections including recognition from the United States Distance Learning Association (USDLA) and the Best Educational Software (BESSIE) awards.
Part of a comprehensive virtual school curriculum for middle school students, the engaging course, available to full-time virtual and blended schools supported by Connections Education, emphasizes the ways that art and design can drive innovation in the same ways as science, technology, engineering and math. More than 25,000 middle school students around the world are enrolled in Connections Education Middle School Art this school year.
“Technology has empowered us to provide personalized learning opportunities for students anytime, anywhere and on any subject,” said Steven Guttentag, Ph.D., president, Connections Education. “It is an honor to have the premier ed tech awards recognize the power of our online art course to immerse middle grade students in a creative learning environment.”
SIIA CODiE winners are selected by a combination of educators, who act as initial judges by selecting finalists from among all nominees, and SIIA members-company peers, who vote to select the winners from among the finalists.
